Taking place at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockland, this “Sculptures of Sound” performance will be paired in conjunction with an exhibition featuring a Maine sculpture.

To generations of European immigrants, the deep cultural connections of classical music from their homelands provided connection and renewal in America. Probing one region of this artistic heritage, SBC’s opening concert will unearth underperformed European chamber music masterworks, alongside a modern work about Planet Earth for horn.
