Sean Lee, violin

Violinist Sean Lee has attracted audiences around the world with his lively performances of the classics. A recipient of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Career Grant, Mr. Lee is one of the few violinists who perform Niccolò Paganini’s 24 Caprices for Solo Violin in concert, and his YouTube series, Paganini POV, continues to draw attention for its unique perspective. A top prizewinner at the Premio Paganini International Violin Competition, he has appeared as a soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice, and the Utah Symphony; and as a recitalist at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Festival Paganiniano di Carro, and the Wiener Konzerthaus. Mr. Lee currently teaches at the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division, as well as the Perlman Music Program, where he was also a student. He performs on a violin made in 1995 by Samuel Zygmuntowicz, and a bow made circa 1890 by Joseph Arthur Vigneron.
