Dear Friends,
Salt Bay Chamberfest’s 2018 season, Troubadours & Tangos, follows the origins of the guitar from its ancestry of the oud and lute to the Renaissance and beyond, culminating in an SBC newly commissioned work and world premiere by composer and electric guitarist Steven Mackey. Ancient laments and modern ballads will inspire a season where the vernacular and Western classical art music join forces to lament, sing, and dance the tango! I look forward to seeing you at Darrows Barn and around Damariscotta.
