Salt Bay Chamberfest’s 23rd season, Move Me!, is about movement and music. Music has the power to move us emotionally, in the deepest and most profound ways. It can also move us physically, and even metaphorically. In this captivating season, we will explore these and other movements in, of, and about music, with an innovative array of chamber works by composers from J.S. Bach to the present day. Join us for a special world premiere and SBC co-commissioned work by composer Angel Lam; a trailblazing work by Iannis Xenakis for six percussionists that surround the audience; and our very first collaboration with a dancer, featuring Edwin Olvera, formerly of Pilobolus. I am deeply honored to welcome such distinctive artists to Midcoast Maine this summer to bring all this music and movement to life. I hope you will join us!
